Welcome. On this site here you'll find descriptions and information about how to purchase our distinctive and, dare we say, lovely, 1940s fashion-design note card collections.

It's tough to communicate on a website how beautiful and tactilely sensuous these cards are ... from the feminine yet sturdy packaging, to the rich and elegant paper and matching envelopes, to the effect The Ladies have on people when they see them. Whether someone receives an American City Girls note card collection as a gift or a single card upon which a meaningful note has been written, people are just touched by them. In active support of Living Locally, American City Girls host parties. In particular, one type of party we host is our monthly HocoLocal Lady parties, where we select a woman whose life lived embodies key principles of Living Locally.

For each of these parties, we select a Lady from the American City Girls Series 1 Collection and create a signature note card, which is then compiled in our HocoLocal Lady note card collection. To date, this collection includes --

Checks, cash, credit cards and PayPal are all accepted for note card purchases. At present, we run a small and personal operation and accept orders by email, phone and, of course, at our parties. Just let us know what you want to order, tell us how you want to receive the cards (by mail or in person) and we'll figure things out from there. (Earlier we did have an online shopping cart, and it never quite jelled for us, so we're going more low-tech, high-touch for now.)
